The 9th grade Academy at James Monroe High School will strive to provide a safe environment; to promote a passion for learning; to develop critical thinking, grade-level literacy, and academic proficiency; and to enhance emotional and social maturity. This will be achieved through encouraging connections to school, contextual learning, civil discourse, and community partnership. Successful students will be empowered to inquire, imagine, reate, contribute, and excel.
